Purpose Built Student Accommodation

The private providers listed below have signed up to the ANUK Code, meaning that their properties should be safe and suitable for use by students and that they are managed in a fair and reasonable manner. Please see more information about the schemes on their website and understand the scope of them.

Note that SASSH, Southampton City Council, The University of Southampton or Southampton Solent University cannot be held responsible for any private halls provider. Their inclusion on this page is not an indication of endorsement by any organisation but simply shows that they have signed up to UUK/ANUK and that we have no major unresolved complaints listed for that provider.

Issues with Private Halls Providers

If you encounter any issues with a private halls provider, please let us know by emailing privaterented@soton.ac.uk or private.housing@solent.ac.uk but note that any contract will be between you and the provider - we cannot interfere aside from providing advice. By signing up to the ANUK code of conduct, the private halls provider has guaranteed that they provide a fair and thorough complaints proceedure; ask to view a copy and follow it accordingly. If we find that there are major unresolved issues with a private halls provider, they will be removed from this page for the duration of the complaint. Providers may be removed permenantly from this page at the discretion of the SASSH team.
